The Town of Vail as an employer began developing its own employee housing program in 1998 as a component in the recruitment and retention of employees. The properties range from studios to a three-bedroom condominium and are mainly allocated to seasonal employees and "critical" year-round employees such as police officers, dispatchers, plow operators and mechanics.

Every winter season, over 60 employees live in the town's housing and receive the benefit of affordable rents. Look here for our housing assistance program.

From May 1 through Oct. 31, any available housing units are leased to the general public. Contact the town at 970-479-2444 to inquire about availability.
